One of the ways that I like to cement an ‘aha’ moment is to create a video in which I work through the points that I have understood. You can think of it as demonstrating to myself that I do understand the concept. I find videos more effective than just taking notes. The benefit of creating a video is that it is available to me, as a reference point, and I can share it with others.
I had such an ‘aha’ moment last week with dataflows, so I created this short video for myself and for you. I don’t waste a lot of time adding audio; rather it is a ‘silent’ tutorial, designed for watching while you listen to music or a podcast. Right now, as I type this, I am listening to a recording of The Lord of the Rings. Precioussssssss……
